About these terms
These terms apply when you use MergeExcelFilesOnline.com. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
The service
MergeExcelFilesOnline.com provides a free browser-based tool for combining supported spreadsheet files. It accepts XLSX, XLS, XLSM, XLSB, CSV, TSV and ODS inputs and produces XLSX or CSV output. No account is required.
Permitted use
Use the service only with files you have the right to process. Do not use it to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malicious files, disrupt the site or probe, bypass or defeat its safeguards.
Your files and ownership
You retain your rights in your input files and resulting output. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to process the files and that your use of the resulting workbook is lawful.
Local processing and privacy
Workbook contents are processed in the browser as described in the Privacy Policy. Normal website, asset and disclosed analytics requests still occur. The optional feedback form sends only the information you choose to submit and does not attach spreadsheet files.
Modes, formatting and limits
Append Rows and Side-by-Side Columns use the first worksheet from each source file; Preserve Sheets carries source worksheets separately. Keep original formatting starts off, requires XLSX input and output, and supports only documented structures. Enhanced processing enforces package, entry, image, cell, column and time limits. Compatibility processing remains limited by browser and device resources.
Review your output
Keep original files and check important values, formulas, formatting, worksheet order and other output before relying on it. The browser does not calculate formulas, and unsupported or unusual workbook features may be changed, omitted or rejected depending on the selected route and mode.
Availability and service changes
The service may occasionally be unavailable, and browser or dependency behavior can change. Features may be corrected, improved or removed for security, legal or operational reasons. Important user-visible changes are recorded on the What’s new page where practical. No uptime or uninterrupted-availability promise is made.
Third-party components and services
The site uses third-party open-source spreadsheet components, Cloudflare hosting and storage, and Google Analytics. The terms and privacy practices of those providers apply to the information they receive. Their inclusion does not imply an endorsement or certification of this service.
No guarantee of a particular result
The tool is provided for convenience. It does not promise that every workbook feature will be preserved, that every file will be accepted or that an output will be suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
Material revisions will change the last-updated date above. Continued use after a revision means the revised terms apply to later use of the service.
