Scope and contact

This policy explains information handling on MergeExcelFilesOnline.com, including the merge tool, normal website delivery, Google Analytics, language preferences and the optional feedback form.

Spreadsheet processing

Files you select are read into browser memory and processed on your device. The merge tool does not upload workbook bytes, filenames, worksheet names, cell values, formulas or embedded images to a spreadsheet-processing server. The output is created locally and downloaded by your browser. External workbook links and images are not automatically fetched, and macros are not executed.

Hosting and required assets

Cloudflare delivers the site and may receive standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, time and security information. Page assets are downloaded normally. When Keep original formatting is on, the browser also downloads a same-origin Worker and WebAssembly module.

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics measurement ID G-SFR2KQWL88 to understand page and feature use. Reviewed events include locale, merge mode, output format, valid file count, formatting on or off, merge start, success or error, language selection and option selection.

Google Analytics may also receive page URL, page title, referrer and standard browser, device, cookie and approximate-location information. The implementation does not put workbook contents, filenames, worksheet names, formulas, images or raw parser-error text in Analytics events.

Cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics may use a first-party _ga cookie or similar identifiers. The language selector stores preferred-locale in local storage and a preferred_locale cookie for up to one year. The current site loads Google Analytics when a page loads and does not provide a separate in-site analytics switch.

Optional feedback

If you submit the feedback form, it sends your rating, message, page path and locale. The server adds a random record ID, tool label and timestamp and stores the record in Cloudflare D1. The form does not ask for your name, but free text and normal network information mean feedback should not be treated as fully anonymous. Do not include personal information, spreadsheet contents or other sensitive information.

Retention

Spreadsheet contents are not retained by a processing server because they are not uploaded for processing. The preferred_locale cookie may remain for up to one year. Feedback has no fixed expiry and remains stored in Cloudflare D1 unless it is manually deleted. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the site’s Analytics property and Google’s applicable policies.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides website delivery and feedback storage, and Google provides analytics. They may process the information they receive in countries where they or their service providers operate, subject to their terms, settings and applicable safeguards. The merge tool does not send spreadsheet contents to either provider for spreadsheet processing.

Your choices and rights

You can use the merge tool without submitting feedback, clear cookies or local storage through your browser and use available browser privacy controls. You may contact [email protected] about access, correction or deletion requests. Rights and complaint options vary according to the law that applies to you and the service operator.

Security and policy changes

Browser-local spreadsheet processing reduces exposure of workbook contents, but no website or software can promise absolute security or error-free output. Use a trusted device, keep original files and review downloaded workbooks. Material changes to this policy will be shown by updating the date above.
